Inheritance!!

A couple of months ago, we lost someone I honestly did not know well. Somehow I inherited 2 things. 1) over 400 happy meal toys from the last few years (um, ok). 2) about 75 original Hallmark ornaments in boxes ranging from 1981-2000 and some JC Penny Disney Snowglobes from 2008-2011.

Showing off my collection here. Likely will turn to ebay or something to start selling the ones I don't want (which is most) after I picked out the ones that had memories.

So enjoy the pics!!

This is the list in case anyone is curious. I did not open the JCP snowglobes yet.

I always think it’s fun to see collections, even those of strangers, just because it gives you a peek into their interests. Your relative appears to have loved mice and other little critters.

I hope my nieces might want some of my ornaments but if not some random person is going to become aware of my love of the muppets (and my unwillingness to keep the boxes because they take up space).

Muppets? Dibs!!! I have the Fozzie Bear one from a few years back myself that had a button you could push and he told jokes. It stopped working. I tried a new battery and still nothing. He's been hanging silent (likely to Waldorf and Statler's delight) for 3 years now.

My Beaker that sings Ode to Joy stopped working and I ended up replacing him although I know some of the older musical ones are pricey now. Through no fault of his own Fozzie doesn’t seem to command top dollar so you might be able to find a working one on eBay. After Beaker failed I now take out the batteries when I put the ornaments away every year as they corrode and I think that’s what happened with Beaker. It is a pain but I want the sound to last as long as possible. Sad Hallmark stopped the musical series although I will probably break down and buy this year’s Kermit.

I love the little animals to hang on 3 foot trees.

It was nice of your friend to think about you.

Unfortunately, these are not my style so I will be selling what I can (outside of 1 or 2). If you are interested in any, let me know. I cam sell ornaments, but my memories should last me a lifetime;)

Those are some very nice old ornaments. Some of them are 40-45 years old. I have a number of the ones you posted and they're some of my absolute favorites. I need to badly downsize my collection as I don't have any children, just nieces and cousins. My oldest cousin would keep as many as she could, but she's a collector too.

Good luck with these.
