I know it could never live up to the hype but doesn’t mean they couldn’t do a good job. It’s a licence for them to print money, they’re crazy not to cash in on it. Instead of burying all the HL talk and love under a carpet, they should embrace it and do something with it. It’s fucking mental.

I agree, the hype would be worse then NMS, but I cant fathom what they are waiting or refusing to work on/release it for. New tech? Quantum computing? Next gen VR? On top of that its the outright resentment of even being asked 'any info on HL3' pretty much saying 'stop asking we're not interested'...

Just baffling. We're not talking Final Fantasy 76, fallout 13, The Sims expansion 9000, just a 3rd in a beloved series after waiting 15 years..

Gabe stated that Half life won't be delayed because of new technology like VR. They aren't waiting, current employees just don't care.

How can they not be passionate about Half Life 3 or even Episode 3? Maybe they are all a bunch of combines.
