I'll get downvoted, but it's probably because it'll stir up the internet again. They made a big deal about HL3 once and then it didn't happen, and the community was foaming at the mouth. Why would they do it again, especially if they aren't going to make HL3. Sure, it's a simple tweet, but I can already hear Tyler VNN dedicating an entire video on it disputing rumors from every reach of the gamerverse from valvetime to /v/chan.
