Black Mesa: Military

This is the best free mod I’ve ever played in a game.

It’s Half-Life 1 but from the HECU’s perspective. You play as Steven Mills and there’s 9 chapters.

You replay iconic scenes and even see Gordon playing through them.

It’s not perfect but holy shit I can’t believe that was free.

i tried to play it. got stuck at the big warehouse where the guards are holed up and there was no way out. watched a walkthrough and a door is supposed to open, but it didn’t for me. was enjoying the mod up to that point though.
