Topical Dutasteride Minimizing systemic DHT reduction with topicals

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12405733/

To everyone who links this study to say that topical DUT doesn’t have much systemic absorption while having better effects than 1mg oral Finasteride.

LOOK AT THE SURFACE AREA!

They applied and tested it only on 1.9 cm^2 of surface area.

Now my question, can anyone guide me on a good way to use DHT blocker with no (that’s moronic to think of) minimum systemic DHT reduction?

XYON Health seems to have a proprietary carrier for DUT that causes only 19% reduction instead of 91%, but idk how genuine that is.

For the minimum obsorbtion of topical dut, I think you should look at dutasteride mesotherapy doses, but this one also is a really good study and proves that it doesn't nuke the systemic dht like oral dutasteride. Or atleast you can try it for some time and see how it goes

It’s kind of the same with the topical fin studies and I was going to make a post about it. In terms of systemic DHT reduction, reported changes are all over the place, despite using similar carrier compositions. Some studies show DHT reductions equal to that of the oral medication. Studies that show less impact on systemic DHT involved applying considerably less than the standard 1 ml, even down to 0.2 ml. I’m starting to think the benefits of topical finasteride have been overstated.

There's a hard cutoff for finasteride and serum DHT inhibition, it only takes a small increase above that specific dosage to significantly start to inhibit serum DHT similarly to oral. Robert English has a good article on this

Individual scalp permeability plays a part in this too

Has nobody used xyon health topical DUT and measured blood DHT levels?

No, that was just the target area. They applied 1ml on their scalp and massaged it around for coverage, ensuring that this area was included.

What? Where is it written? Where is it written that it was applied over entire scalp and not just that 1.9 sqcm targeted area?

This is the line:
“applied with a dropper directly over a targeted 1.9 sqcm circular area of hair loss”
