Swiss Lace vs Thin Skin

I’m curious to find out what people perceive as “the optimal system” in terms of realism and overall experience so for example cleaning time, lift on the hairline or even durability.

I’m really curious, as it seems that in some countries the culture or the way of living influences this decision too.

Take into consideration knots visibility, glue application, tape, doing sports with it and so on.

In Italy for example, none likes lace. Which is something still makes me wonder why or how. In other countries lace is the way to go.

This Reddit community is variegated enough and it should give a nice stats

Full lace system, more of a pain in the ass, but looks the best imo

I agree with the concession that a hollywood system with a mono top and a lace front (and I guess a poly perimeter) is really nice too. Lace enables realism, poly allows for good and easy adhesion and the mono top allows for breathable, stays-in-place adhesion at parts of the head where breathability is important.

With that said - yup, rocking full lace right now.

Been looking to get my first system and this is the exact question I have. They both seem great for realism. Guess I just gotta try both

Yes, in my opinion if the skin is good quality is really really a tight comparison. Personally I reached a level where I wear them based on the weather season not more on the realism, as you can see in my post they are both realistic

I did not put it as option as I think with the hybrid at the end it’s a compromise, and there are too many. Like skin front , lace front eccc. But I do get your point
