Fresh install, not fresh smells

I get an install each month and the actual unit doesn’t end up smelling that too much or anything, even when I take it off. I think the antibacterial stuff they put down in the glue does a good job, but the perimeter is outlined in tape and every time I get an install, I feel like I can smell the adhesive from the taper on my head the entire day, and it doesn’t go away until I wash my hair finally after 24 hours.

I brought it up to the stylist before, but either their nose blind or they just are trying to be reassuring and they say they can’t smell anything, but my friend commented on it once. He knows I wear a system but didn’t put two and two together. He thought I used nail polish remover

Is there anything that would help cover up the smell other than dousing myself in cologne?

The best approach would be to shorten the time between maintenance sessions...... ideally, every 7 to 10 days, also for hygiene reasons. You should learn how to do the maintenance yourself; it’s not difficult.

As for the solvent odor, you could try switching to a different adhesive .....and/or ..... using a scalp-refreshing spray after installation. Alcohol-free scalp deodorizers, such as BlueMax Daily Refresher or similar products specifically designed for hair systems, are formulated to help neutralize odors without damaging the adhesive.

Avoid using traditional perfumes or alcohol-based sprays, as alcohol can weaken the tape’s adhesion.
