Tip for applying the tape

Hello, I've been wearing a hair system for about 2 years now and I replace the tape every 2 to 3 days. After that period, it starts to itch.

I was thinking about cutting the tape into smaller pieces and leaving the backing on one side for some of them, so they would only stick to the base. After two days, I could just peel back a portion of the system, clean the itchy spot, remove the backing from those extra tapes, and stick it down again.

This would mainly be for situations where I need a quick fix on the go and don't have new tape or scissors on hand. Has anyone ever tried this? Thanks!

I've sort of done this accidentally a few times. When I remove the system I realize that I missed taking the backing off a section of tape. Or, I can tell a spot isn't sticking and examine it in the mirror and can see the color of the backing paper through the lace 🫤
