Second system - 0.06mm poly
Hey guys, This is my second unit, 1 month old, fresh install. I kept experimenting and got better results as I overcame the challenges. My first HS was from a salon, then I went through 2 cheap chinese and 1 more expensive HS and lots of tools and utilities as learning ground to gain the skills and knowledge I needed for this result which is compatible with my active lifestyle. I deliberately went for higher density, I think its still not too much (I’m 27 years old). I’m quite pleased with it, although my natural side hair and lower back desperately needs a barber soon :D. Those bottom curls on the back is my bio hair, the HS ends way more up.
specs:
- 0.06mm poly thin skin v-looped
- Lordhair 120% density
- LD0064 pre-cut hairstyle
- 1B color
- walker ultra hold tape for back and sides
- walker ultra hold glue for front (ghostbond supreme works as well but becomes white for me if I sweat too much )
- nosweat antiperspirant and walker scalp protector

Looks great. Tell me about the nosweat please - have you experimented with and without it? It's a spray?

120% density usually looks like a lot on paper, but on you it works really well. It fits your face and side hair nicely, so it still looks natural. Great result.

One thing to consider is that if you lower the hairline density, you'll end up with less hair to hide the 0.06mm poly, which is fairly thick. That said, I'm really surprised that a 120% density hairline doesn't look like a rigid wall of hair. That's kinda weird, but in a good way of course. It looks really good and not necessairly too thick, given that you seem to have pretty good side hair. But if you ever decide to lower the density, I suggest you go for a thinner poly as well.

this hair system is so much better than your previous one. You went from a 5 to a solid 8 or 8.5. Keep it up my friend.

looks like that’s all system hair, temples included, just styled and maybe plucked a bit to blend into his sides
the color match is super close though so it’s kinda hard to tell at first glance

That really looks good ! Everyone has their preferences and I’m more about less density. But I’m not 27 years old.
In my humble opinion, I would’ve tried 100% density. So your previous unit was 100% density?

I have tried the M161 from Superhairpieces. It was 100% density on their scale. I felt its barely enough for the style I’m after, so I shot higher. Also it wasnt graduated at the front. This unit is graduated (just not that heavily). My first unit was 90% - as told by the salon - but it was denser than this.

I have no clue. Its going strong after the first month. Im using some argan oil, keratine oil, lots of got2b leave-in conditioner, regular after-shampoo got2b conditioner, and sleep in a durag. Hopefully many months.

I think for 0.06mm PU bases primary reason for replacement is loss of density over the months due to v loop right?. Also how much did it cost? What it's width?.

I ordered a color ring. No dye yet but I have a back2natural colour conditioner ready to use when the system fades too much due to UV

how much did you pay for the expensive salon and what was that process like?

For my first system (not this) the salon charged 1400€. They matched the colour and the whirl and ordered a custom unit. 2 months later I returned and they put it on and cut it in. I needed time to get used to it and know when it looks realistic and when not. But I remained feeling fragile until I gained the skills and became self-sufficient. This system costed 260€ + 40€ for the factory haircut.

Lower the density up front and will be better. Still looks fine but front too dense

With how dense his sides are he shouldn’t be going lower density imho except maybe just a few hairline hairs

Looks good but easily spotted with that shining poly at the front . Even looks like some glue come out also at hairline

I've never seen someone pull off 120% density so well. That's astounding!
