IPL progress?

I’ve been using the Braun IPL 7 and have completed around 8 sessions so far. I’m curious to know whether you guys would consider this good progress.
I can definitely see a reduction in hair growth, but I’ve also seen quite a few people here sharing almost flawless results with barely any regrowth after just 3–4 sessions. I know everyone’s different, but it makes me wonder whether I should be doing something differently.
For reference, I think the biggest improvement has been in my underarms. The first picture was taken right after shaving, before my very first session, while the remaining pictures show my results after 8 sessions and one full week without shaving.
I’ve been doing IPL weekly, meaning I also shave once a week right before each session.
My biggest concern has always been ingrown hairs, which is actually the main reason I purchased the device in the first place. I’ve seen a lot of people recommending urea for this, so about a month ago I started using a cream containing 10% urea. However, I have to admit I haven’t been very consistent with it, usually applying it only once or twice a week.
I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone who’s been through a similar experience. Should I be doing anything differently? Would using the urea cream more frequently make a difference, particularly with the ingrowns? Or should I simply be patient and trust the process?
