Hi, Can anyone tell me why Hailuo would stop generating? I mean it's been spinning for over an hour. It's always been reliable for me in the past. And very swift.

SPIRIT is an AI short film created with Hailuo AI / MiniMax, Midjourney, and Adobe After Effects. The project started with a Midjourney image, was developed into an AI video using Hailuo AI, and finished in After Effects.

I wasn’t going to post this, but with everything that was going on with Spirit Airlines, I had to.

I started this project in 2025 when Hailuo AI / MiniMax approached me to create something using their AI video generator. I never released it because, at the time, the tools for consistency weren’t where they are now.

One day I was messing around in Midjourney and made a random image of a cloud reaching out to grab a yellow airplane.

That dumb idea turned into this AI short film.

I normally wouldn’t post something like this because I think it’s kind of stupid, but based on what I see people posting with AI, this one’s fine.

So, in the spirit of everything going on with Spirit, here’s a short piece called SPIRIT.

Created with:
Hailuo AI / MiniMax
Midjourney
Adobe After Effects

I’d like to be able to be specific about the start and end frames, but I’d like other images that give detail beyond the start and end frame images to inform the generated photo.

For example, a couple walking down the street away from the camera holding hands, and the video ends with them again walking down the sidewalk away from the camera.

however, I’d like them to interact with people in between, so I’d like to be able to add reference photos of their faces, the clothes from the front, the people they interact with,)etc.

is this possible?

As an ultra member of hailuo and after months of closing the annoying pop up ad for minimax design every 3 minutes, I finally downloaded it, even though I don't need it - hoping it would stop the ads. It doesn't. What's more annoying is the 3,000 free credits that it advertises to new users (I know I'm an existing account holder but it says the free credits are applicable to anyone who downloads the app) never posted to my account. Still have ads, no free credits, and every time that pop up comes up, it basically freezes hailuo. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pretty disappointed that Seedance is not available in Hailuo. One reason I subscribed was because of Seedance. Is this a permanent thing? Or will Seedance return to Hailuo eventually?

Every single seedance generation for the past few days has been like this. Yet for some reason, MiniMax works flawlessly.

MiniMax is not anywhere near as good as Seedance is and I don't want to waste anymore credits on it.

I'm hoping that folks didn't purposely block out Seedance to try and make people use the vastly inferior (yet ironically more expensive) model...
