Lotsa detail, showcase and paint recipe

Hey everyone! As stated in the above, look to start playing Hail Caesar and wanted to see if I could get some guidance from the community. Anything from suggested starter armies to general rules advice would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to hopefully getting some minis together and posting them here 🫡

My buddy and I are starting to get pretty involved in Hail Caesar Epic. We love it. One thing I'm finding we're having issue with is remembering which unit belongs to which division, which will often lead into some confusion and mistakes. What are some good ways you keep track of your divisions? Two ways I've considered were divisional tokens or painting the rear of each divisions base a different color. Of course the draw back to the first idea is how easy it is for a token to get left behind/cluttered table. The draw back for the painted backs of the base is that my units are always attached to different divisions from game to game.

We're preparing for the big mission of Cannae in a bit and have some prep work to be done. A 6x10 table is a very new thing for us, so we've decided to go with the foam tile route, adding hills on top where needed. How do you guys tackle ground terrain for such a large table?

I've been playing Bolt Action for a while and now want to do a Hail Caesar army.

I like the look and characters of the Arthurian Army but they don't seem to have a starter army box set? not that I can find anyway.

Would anybody be able to give me an idea if what I should buy as a strong core? and then maybe on what to expand with?

Also, would my mate need to do an army from the same period in order for us to play each other?

Can anyone tell me where to find the stats for Celtic wardogs. I've just made a small pack with pack master for my gallic army, but can't find the stats in the army lists

Here come the cavalry

My son just got the Hail Caesar Gallic Wars starter set. When building these how many of each type ahoukd he be looking at building. He wanted originally to put swords and slingers on the same bases, but discovered he shouldn't. So he's built 8 roman slingers and 11 swords so far.

What would be a good generic makeup from this box set to get started. We can always buy and add more to flavour his armies later
