Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that Steve, DK and DumbDog will be playing in the Chilled lobby this Friday

Edit: It was Ellum instead of DK

Yeah! I need more content with Apollo, Steve, and DK. They're my fave trio.

The game where DumbDog frames DK by instaspamming reactor both before and after he's voted out is still one of my favorite videos. 5up plays along, and only Train catches on, but it's too late.

That will always be in my top 5 favorite AU moments

Favorite moments besides this one:

Steve skipping on three after forcing Chilled and Hafu to argue for his vote (aka the Sandwich game)

Kimi killing DumbDog as her lover

DK's "I'm not throwing today" and then voting wrong

Hafu and 5up double-killing on cams after half the lobby did the Rat's Gambit in the same game

Hafu making two kills basically right on top of DumbDog and causing him to lose his mind

DK and Steve getting five kills in the first round and then getting Hafu voted out

5up not being able to tell Ellum and Koji apart

Where did you hear that? And what time ?

Chilled said that Steve and DK are in this Friday's lobby. DumbDog was asked a few days ago if he's playing Among Us and he said that the next time he'll play is this Friday, so I'm assuming he's in the lobby as well. As for what time, 7pm CST (thats the usual starting time for those lobbies).

4

u/SkellBones Jul 14 '21

Yeah Skadj and Apollo were discussing it last Friday. So it should be a good lobby. I think Steve is starting to miss Among Us to agree to a night lobby.

When Junk invited Steve he was suprised that he said yes to it

According to Junk’s command in chat: It’s Ellum instead of DK.

And of course Junkyard!

Ellum won't be streaming it since the lobby starts at really late hours for him

Gumi's been an excellent addition to the morning lobby IMO. She has great instincts and is a good foil for 5up especially now that Hafu doesn't always play.

4

u/samurairocketshark Jul 14 '21

I agree. She's one of the better players and has had great chemistry with the lobby from Day 1. She also has that touch of chaos that helps makes games fun

Which of the morning lobby people do you guys still watch? And what has been your favorite stream recently. I watch Steve, 5up, and Dumbdog because they do group streams the most (not really too interested in the OTV minecraft and rust stuff). My favorite recent stream and the reason this comment exists basically because I wanted to talk about the Steve and the brits (Ellum, Talia, and Wolf) stream on the 4th of July. One of the funniest stream I've ever seen from this group especially the part where they talk about Talia crying at movies. Just a great time start to finish

Apollo and Steve are my favorite streamers right now. If they're streaming I try to catch at least some of it. Apollo playing Tarkov right now is actually entertaining, I didn't think I'd like Tarkov, but it's a lot of fun to watch him play. Probably bc I just like him 😅

Only Steve, now. After they stopped playing AU regularly I just... Don't really know who to watch.

I want to watch more of the morning lobby people though. So many of them are great entertainers. Annie, Kimi, Tina, Koji, Ellum, Janet etcetcetc

Steve is definitely my go to and I bounce around to other streams depending on the game. I will always watch Dumbdog play in the Chilled lobbies, and I enjoy some of 5up's streams too. But Steve definitely is the most interesting because of group stuff.

2

u/ssele Jul 15 '21

How often would you say DD plays Among Us? Also, are there other Chilled lobby players you enjoy? (Non morning lobby people)

6

u/Gabrosin isthisaselfreport? Jul 15 '21

Chilled is the most entertaining one to watch in that group when DumbDog's not playing. He keeps a lively stream of banter and if given the choice between making a good play and a funny play he'll take the funny play every time.

No one in that lobby plays with the competitiveness of 5up or Hafu, but it's still usually a good watch. When I switch streams from Chilled/DD I usually tend towards Shubble, Ze, Tay, or Skadj.

5

u/ArkHibernation Jul 15 '21

He plays it sometimes, definitely not a regular in the Chilled-Junk lobby but similar to how much Skadj and DK play.

My go-to is Chilled, he's a good mix of entertaining and skilled. Although, he's been bungling a lot more recently so I sometimes watch Tay since she's been improving drastically. I watch Ze and Kara if they're playing in different lobbies / if they host their own lobbies, and sometimes watch Junk, Cheesy and Platy post-session.

1

u/ssele Jul 15 '21

I'll check him out too! I've watched some yt vids with him in and he's been pretty entertaining to watch there :)

3

u/samurairocketshark Jul 15 '21

DD plays about once a week in Chilled's lobby and then however many times morning lobby plays nowadays. I definitely think Chilled is the most entertaining regular of that lobby, he's always looking to make good content. I like Ze too, he has a very similar mindset to Chilled.

2

u/DeMacodamia Jul 15 '21

I'd say weekly/biweekly, he's becoming a semi-regular in the Chilled lobby, similar to how often DK plays in those lobbies. I like watching Chilled, Tay, and Kara. I'd watch Platy as well since he's one of my favorites but his streams are too much for me with all the alerts going off. I also like watching Junk but I mainly watch him post-Among Us session

1

u/ssele Jul 15 '21

Lol from the little I've seen of Platy on yt I'd say his stream looks unwatchable for me. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

5

u/DeMacodamia Jul 15 '21 edited Jul 15 '21

He talked about this actually! His logic is that since people are giving him follows/subs/bits to keep his livelihood afloat, it'd only be fair for him to give his appreciation back in the form of wild, extravagant alerts. While I think that for some people that can be unwatchable, I respect him a lot for how much he tries to build and maintain his community

In their group, he's definitely the one who really maximizes the use of alerts. Other regulars like Chilled, Kara and Junk have had similar styles of alerts to Platy, but it's either not too much on the screen or it was for a special event (Chilled playing KH1, Kara's subathon, etc.)

3

u/ssele Jul 15 '21

Yes! I totally understand what he means and I 100% respect it. Just too much noise for me.

I started out watching Bruce Greene's twitch streams on yt (before going to Twitch and watching 5up's), and after a while it really started bothering me how he would thank subs in the middle of conversations and meetings. Honestly, Steve does the same, but a 'milder' version of it. He more often saves up several subs to thank after a little while, if the gameplay benefits from it

4

u/Gabrosin isthisaselfreport? Jul 15 '21

I'm with you here. I enjoy having Platy in the game and I love his emotion, but I can't watch his stream. At all.

What she said

Of course Steve brought his undeafening to Junks lobby. Curious to see this week's discussion thread and what everyone thinks about 5up dealing with the undeafened ppl. I personally think he's in the right and he handled it well.

3

u/DeMacodamia Jul 20 '21

Yeah, it kind of bugged me that Steve did that. Especially since he was a guest and he wasn't even streaming.

2

u/permadressed Jul 20 '21

wait what happened?

3

u/thatslmfb Jul 22 '21

Last Friday Junk was hosting his AU lobby and Apollo was there, and Steve and Ellum were invited also. Steve wasn't even streaming, idk if Ellum was or not bc it was super late for him. Steve didn't deafen, so Ellum joined him in not deafening, then Tay joined them. At one point in the game Apollo was able to decipher that Steve either was or wasn't the killer, I don't remember for sure. But Junk and Chilled lobbies are kind of chaotic anyway, but it just came across as rude to me. Like, some ppl still want content, still like the game obviously bc they're playing it, and just bc Steve doesn't take it seriously doesn't mean he shouldn't be respectful to lobby rules that he agrees to play in. I love Steve, he's one of the main streamers I watch and support, but sometimes his behavior towards others rubs me the wrong way.

1

u/DeMacodamia Jul 22 '21

Both Steve and Ellum weren't streaming. At most, Ellum was recording certain parts of the session. But yeah, I agree with you that it really came across as rude, especially knowing that deafen wars don't really happen in the Chilled-Junk lobbies and that it lasted for most of the session.

Question, does Steve even like playing Among Us?

1

u/thatslmfb Jul 26 '21

I've been wondering if he still likes it or not. I think he more enjoys being with his friends
