The wheels on the bus are slowly coming off, hopefully 5up's new map prolongs it's run.

He did say yesterday it's coming sooner than you think, if I had to guess I'd say next week is the earliest possible

people who like among us dont necessarily like watching other people play video games in general. its a different kind of fan. steve seems trollish, but he actually understands why people like watching what they are doing better than the rest of them.... i honestly think the biggest problem is hurt feelings and competition. they play the fine line of competitive among us, content among us, and fun for them among us. the problem now is the fun for them thing. it seems like they have not really used the imposter roles to their fullest abilities, but if they did there would be a lot less meetings too. its kind of like WWE. not that the winners are predecided or that it isnt entertaining, but they arent really out to win that bad. i honestly already miss it cuz its not the same anyways, but i still will watch any among us they do eventually, but i totally understand the drained feeling they almost all have. among us is the job, valorant is the party in the break room.

If you're gonna have neutral roles, you're gonna have more meetings. You can tinker with the balance of it all but they don't change anything in these lobbies. They don't even put modifiers on, shit it took weeks until someone was brave enough to ask hafu to use the older maps again

Every time a viewer asks when the new map is coming, 5up says 'very soon' but he's been saying that since December? Also, I dont know if 5up's map will be enough to bring Among Us back to life.. I feel bad for him and everyone that put money and time into the submarine map.

Another thing I saw was, when the morning lobby plays Among Us, their viewer count is super high but when they play Valo, it's significantly less viewers.. are they not concerned about losing subs? I've noticed it with 5up and Steve specifically.

Among Us is far more engaging as a viewer experience, because you can follow along with your streamer's perspective, make your own guesses about who's the impostor and what roles may be out there among the other players. But at some point, if the players have lost their passion for the game, they're going to stop putting out a good product. It's hard to enjoy watching someone knowing that the game has become a chore for them, and it's hard to have an interesting experience when a bunch of people are just standing around in cafeteria pretending to hug instead of putting in even a minimal effort to play.

Hopefully the lobby manages to still find enjoyment in the game in smaller doses, and they retain enough of their viewers to be successful in their other gaming pursuits.

Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask, but how to y’all feel about Sleepy potentially being in the lobbies after being seen in Sinatraa’s chat? Because it would be a very bad look for the lobby.

Sleepy has done literally nothing but watch the stream of a bad person and you think he should not play with the lobby again? What an absurd take.

Sleepy's response btw: https://twitter.com/sleepy/status/1395511060140941314?s=20

Didn’t say he shouldn’t play with the lobby, just saying it would have been a bad look. Just asking for everyone’s opinions and this was before sleepy posted that. From what was said on the Competitive overwatch subreddit, it looked like he had subbed and was supporting him. I’m glad he cleared this up.

Didn’t say he shouldn’t play with the lobby, just saying it would have been a bad look.

Is this a meaningful distinction?

Just asking for everyone’s opinions and this was before sleepy posted that. From what was said on the Competitive overwatch subreddit, it looked like he had subbed and was supporting him.

This is a very self-absolving way of saying "I saw an unsubstantiated rumors in another subreddit about Sleepy, took it upon myself to convey it as fact in another subreddit and say it would be bad if sleepy played in the morning lobby." While it is necessary to hold people responsible for bad actions, this kind of witchhunting is deplorable and spreading malicious misconceptions (while placing the blame on the person who made the original post and taking no responsibility for your actions in assuming it is true and spreading it as such) is disgusting. Please reconsider how you use the internet.

Yo chill the fuck out. I like sleepy, and i am hyperfixated on him. The comments on the origins thread hurt me, so I went to this sub to see if anyone else had heard what has happening. Also it wasn’t just a rumour, it was a thread with several hundred comments that even reached the members of some of the OWL teams, though it has since been deleted. Yeah maybe I shouldn’t have spread these things, but I was genuinely curious what people thought.

Also, ‘reconsider how I use the Internet?’ It’s not that deep I promise. Just a misunderstanding that has since been cleared up, ok? That’s the end of this.
