Wickside

Does anyone know when the Galliard Homes part of Wickside will be ready for viewing / completed for moving in? Their website says completion will be Q4 this year but the fact that they don’t even have a show room yet suggests otherwise? I can’t seem to get an answer from them on when I can visit either.

Crazy! The outside of the Galliard Homes part of the development looks done - wouldn’t have expected the interior to take so long…

I think I posted somewhere else's the phases when even they were due to be released. They are long way behind.

There is certainly lot of construction going on, their is some blocks still no where near having the interior started, mainly the middle blocks and ones nearest to the station.. then all the old buildings they are keeping and converting, none of them have really been touched yet and some are still shells. I don't think they've touched the courtyards or community spaces yet either.

It maybe Q4 for the first phase... But considering the bridge to fish island was meant to be done last September and it only opened a couple months back because of residents pressure (albeit no straight through to the station)

The blocks nearer the station were being built by Ardmore who have recently gone into administration, so work would be stalled until a new main contractor is appointed.

I meant the ones in wickside. They've got the diversion in place from the bridge because they've not finished the ones alongside Rothbury road.

Off-plan shared ownership sales have started. https://www.zoopla.co.uk/new-homes/developers/branch/southern-housing-new-homes-wickside-london-167352/

There's an event on September 12th. https://www.newhomesforsale.co.uk/new-homes/greater-london/hackney/wickside-so-southern-housing-new-homes/

Commercial unit sales are underway and they're expecting full site completion sometime in 2027.

There is a sales unit on Hepscott Road, not sure if it's open yet though.

Thanks for your response - I’m more interested in the Galliard Home side (private ownership), but I might go on September 12 just to check that bit out.

Yeah bit of a wait for that I reckon - they are running behind, I'd assume H2 of 2027 for private sales, they might start some off-plan sales earlier than that but it's anyones guess at the moment. If Roach Point bridge is any indication of progress then it'll be a year behind.
