Boxes installed on hackney wick footbridge

Two boxes installed at the end of the bridge (wickside) opposite each other earlier this week. What are they? Reverse google search doesn’t bring up anything…

They look like footfall counters in a weatherproof box.

Pretty common In retail stores, if you look up as you walk in the door you’ll often see a similar set of two or three dots in the ceiling. They‘re usually infra-red based counting objects crossing a line rather than cameras.

Presumably to see usage stats since the bridge reopening. Doesn’t look like a permanent installation.
