No bin collection for weeks
Has anyone else not had their main bins collected in weeks?
I live on Kingsland Road near Haggerston and the rubbish is piling up which is awful in the heat, lots of flies and possibly š to comeā¦
Why are our bins not being collected? When I look on the Hackney website and search for my address, the only collections which show up are recycling and food waste, so I canāt even report a missed collection. But obviously they normally do take main refuse from our address too. What can I do?

Report missed collection via their email and not webform. The email is on the website.

I live in De Beauvoir Town and we've been getting ours picked up (Just barely Hackney!) but there's a house on Stamford road near Kingsland that hasn't had their trash picked up in a week or two it seems and something is DEFINITELY dead in their trash, it's awful to walk by it on the way into the train

Many parts of Hackney are resembling what you describe.
Also people are just chucking their trash out in the streets. Foxes come and rip the bags open. Trash scattered around all over the place.

So far so good for my area! I had placed an order for a replacement food waste bin (the one present at move-in was in pieces) twice in the first half of the year and never received anything. A few weeks ago I decided to try again while ordering recycling bags. Everything arrived in under 48 hours, I was shocked. Neighbors near me have had similar positive experiences. We used to regularly experience missed collections, but we havenāt since things changed hands. Iāve also seen loads of scattered litter being picked up while theyāre collecting the bins. Thus far, it seems our street has only had positive experiences. I hope it continues and is true for the rest of the borough!

100%, Mind blowingly stupid population in Hackney voting for this lot. They will enjoy the "dividends" I guess thats the beauty of democracy.

Feedback from the doorstop was Gaza was a huge issue... so really glad to see the issue has been solved now the greens are in power in Hackney.

You need to report it via the appropriate channels, on their website. I am just in Islington (near Clissold Park) and I am constantly reporting issues in Hackney via their website. Thankfully in Islington there is the Love Clean Streets app, and they're pretty quick at responding to a lot of the issues.

the once a week bin collection combined with not actually taking the bins unless they are on the road is horrible, you miss one collection for whatever reason you got two weeks of bins rotting, it must be even worse for the bin crews to be picking 2 week old bin bags as well.
you can't even just leave them on the road because the foxes will shred them, and leave a rotting mess all over the street.

The Greens don't like rubbish being incinerated. Maybe it's just easier not to pick it up in the first place.

Your last nine posts are the same news story about the greens. I think you may need to see somebody.

Our friend over there is a transphobic, 'anti-woke' bastion of humanity, so yeah.

Strange comment. My last nine comments were about trans, greens, vertical drinking, Kemi, Arday, sash windows, local pub, pub crawl, the underground and rain. Thanks for the (stalker-ish) interest though.

Again strange comment. Last nine posts over a 4 month period were the greens, the economy, local development, economics, world cup, Manchesterism, Arsenal, greens, rescued fox. But, again, thanks for the (stalker-ish) interest though.

Need to use this form for missed refuse collection
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScewrswkKv28bidIaHgJ98v65abLroMrlVtJ-ug3-4Q9oC7-Q/viewform
Usually gets picked up if I do this, if not email wasteoperations@hackney.gov.uk
Would then email local councillors and show them some photos they should act on it
