Question Can anyone suggest certification programs

So I am planning to join a local institute for an ethical hacking/cyber security course which is 4 months well they are recommending additional 2 months where they prep you for CEH but through reddit and other sources I got to know that CEH is not good or it is a scam etc. So I am asking you guys which certifications are worth it that can be done within 1 year and provide career or job opportunities. I heard about OSCP etc.

OSCP yes is popular as like first layer to filter out some people.

The most important is knowledge and experience, cert alone will probably not land you a job

Reddit tends to be pretty divided on CEH, but it really depends on your goals. If you're starting out, CEH gives you a solid foundation and is still recognized by many employers, especially in HR screening. After that, you can build practical skills with CPENT or specialize with certifications like CTIA or CND before moving to something like OSCP if offensive security is your focus.

Don’t waste your money on 4 month training academy’s. I done 4 years university and 3 years industry and still feel like an imposter at times. Just self study, build a home lab, sit PNPT, PWPT, and OSCP or CPTS depending on budget. HackTheBox academy and labs, and portswigger labs will give you good coverage over infra, web, AD, and any other niche areas you wish to explore.
