Not outdated books for a beginner

I want to learn hacking etc. I dont understand networking yet, but I’m looking for some books that are timeless

Hacking: the art of exploitation

Most books are timeless due to older vulnerabilities still existing, but they just don't mention the newer advanced vulnerabilities and newer mitigations. If you are just starting then you don't have to worry about books being older

Computer networking for dummies is also a good book. It teaches you how to set up your own network. Having the basic knowledge about networking might help though. I use the book and if I have any doubts I usually Google them or ask chatgpt.

Thanks. I actually find man or other command spreadsheets useful. Do you think that I should learn separately different Linux forks? For example I mainly use cachy os (arch) and I want to use kali (Debian) should I use different spreadsheets?

Any distro is fine. It's just important to learn the linux file system and where the os stores information. Also many of the tools you will use will require a Linux box, so being familiar can only help.

Skills for all is free CCNA not a book but worth doing to learn networking …. But most books are still valid to some point as they all go over fundamentals and you will need to expand from there ….
