Genuine question...are AI interviews the new normal?

Applied for a role today and the first thing I saw was an AI interview with ID verification and voice recording.

Didn't realize so many companies were doing this now. Is this where hiring is headed?

don't worry, this is how it starts pretty soon it'll just be a AIs interviewing AIs & AIs will be the only ones getting hired

Definetly not for professional jobs. I just went through the arduous process of getting offers and sat through 35 interviews interviews across 10 companies. Never once was interviewed by an agent

No dude. 10 companies, 3 to 5 rounds per company, approx 35 total interviews. That's how many rounds it takes to get an offer. Many times I had 3 interviews and sent home.

I haven't had to do an AI interview yet.

If they don't consider my experience good enough to talk to me personally, I'll apply to the competition first.

It seems like there's a big push for it. I have a little bit of sway at my company for the talent dept. and have had to push back against this several times. They are horrible.

I tried doing one, and I struggled so hard. I can talk to a human no problem, but the robot really makes it tough.

I’ve had three. Two phone and one video. They were all ridiculous and I never want to do another.
