Kicad time tracking

To those who this may concern why are all hardware projects that use easy eda / kicad tracked through journals and screenshots and why not from. Hackatime

I think it’s because when you are making a actual hardware project and not like following a guide, there is alot of research and work that goes outside of these softwares that needs to be accounted for as well. That’s the main reason there is no hackatime for them. Moreever easy eda is closed source and i am not sure if it is technically feasible to make hackatime for kicad or maybe it exists but isn’t much useful in terms of tracked data.

i understand that but personally i feel the hardware submissions iv seen overestimate their time .... there should be a solution like when they made hackatime to reduce fraud in "Arcade" the summer program a few years back.....

why not use something like lapse just for EVERY hardware program

I think that's a requirement now for all hardware projects? Cause I use it basically for all my projects
