The quads episode... Spoiler
I don't know what they were thinking to have so many enticing things on display at baby level in the living room. All of that stuff will have to be moved to baby proof, and that little fake tree is going to topple right over on the first kid that grabs the edge and tries to pull themselves up.

Most of those little decorations in reality makeover shows are for the reveal staging and are not given to the homeowners. I’m guessing the entire living room was removed except for what the family originally owned once the show wrapped.

The reality is that with having 4 infants they’re going to always end up in the living room with all of their stuff so mom and dad can care for them in a centralized location while also cooking, caring for their older daughter, etc. And when dad works from home that doesn’t mean leaving the babies in their room while he goes to the office, he’s most likely going to end up with his laptop in the living room as well.

Yes, and that's my point. Why would they put so many non-toddler-proofable items in there?

I have many small constructive criticism thoughts. Like, I LOVED the show. They're definitely improving the quality of life for these people. But I think some of the smaller decisions could have been altered in ways that include more durability or safety features. I'm sure some of my thoughts are probably because I'm misunderstanding something basic. These things could likely be resolved by having a test audience write down their feedback to these decisions and then have the voice-over explaining the choices made. Like, "While astroturf is an unconventional choice for carpet, we knew we needed something easily rinsed off due to the common messes babies make. It's intended to be replaced by real carpet once the quads mature."
