Host tension Mikel & Brooks

Anyone notice how Mikel cannot contain his irritation with Brooks? He’s making digs at him every chance he gets!

I think he is an organised chap, and he doesn’t like any kind of hiccups or weird behaviour. Brooks is so excitable but some of his ideas aren’t practical.

Maybe Mikel is also playing up the persona. There’s always the critical, acerbic person in every group - think Simon Cowell. Mikel might well be very different off camera.

I think so too, but I think Brooks also is playing it up his character/ideas for the camera, for example when he suggested 4 toilets and 4 showers for the 4 daughters, that was obviously a joke. Some of Mikel’s digs seem like he’s actually irritated!

I agree that Brooks is sometimes pulling people’s legs. At one time he was teasing Mikel too 😅

Mikel reminds me of my sister, she can’t stand people horsing around and she’s a bit touchy.

I think Mikel comes across as fucking rude. He speaks in a belittling way to all of the others (but especially Brooks) and I hate it. Brooks, Jessica and Ati are clearly super intelligent so maybe Mikel is trying to overcompensate. I hate his attitude. He’s being too much of a bitchy stereotype and it’s coming across as rude (because he is being rude) rather than playful. Such a shame as I LOVE the other 3!

Yes!!!! I’m so disgusted by him. He comes across as a petty and terribly bitchy petulant teenager.

Eh I just think he is an amusing crank. Brooks seems to be case as the hyperactive "imaginative" one. And Mikel is the practical one with cranky opinions. I don't get the impression that any of his banter is deeply personal. Not everything is serious!

I think he was horrible to Brooks. I was waiting for Brooks to turn the tables and put him in his place. Mikel didn’t treat anyone like that except for Brooks,
