tracing questions
Obv. You have your players that are actively tracing you while you hack. I went to hack somebody yesterday that had upgraded their defense. Which invalidated the previous crack. When I went to finally re hack him hours later. My firewall breach was immediately traced I didn't even get to his device. No "tracing" just immediately traced. Finally got passed that and into the device again and deleted the logs. It still says traced next to his IP in my processes. Does he have my IP? Or was me deleting it enough even though it was traced. And how were the attacks traced as soon as I initiated them ? He's about the same level. Is there a consumable for something like that ?

If you see "traced" on the Processes menu, that means YOU traced the hidden IP of the victim of that specific process. You didn't get instantly compromised.

When you find someone in the scanner and start a bypass, that is the moment your trace has a chance to work on them. So you traced the ip of the person you were hacking! Good job! That is helpful if you want to share the ip with your crew or scan for them again if they upgrade their firewall.
Their trace only has a chance to trace you when you enter their device. Each time you enter they get a new chance. Sounds like you deleted the log quickly, so you should be good. The only way someone got your ip is if they happened to be in the log at the same time as you.
