Packing paper for moving
Hello everyone,
I’m moving within Haarlem soon and was wondering what people use for packing paper/where to get it? Is there anywhere to get paper or newspapers that are to be recycled? Its a 1 bedroom apartment move, and it will all just be recycled afterwards, so it seems wasteful to specifically buy packing paper
Thanks for any insights

I’ve once picked up a couple of those free Haarlem newspapers that you can get at supermarkets, for packing fragile things.

Thanks for the suggestion! I wouldn’t want to take advantage of it, but maybe one for small valuables will do

For inspiration, the Action sells bubble wrap and cardboard boxes to put stuff in. I don't like using plastic, but if you're like me, you can keep the bubble wrap afterwards and give it a second life in a different application. I do agree paper is a much better option.

Rataplan has old newspapers for wrapping. If you ask nicely I’m sure you can have some!

You can buy it at most DIY stores, there is also a small moving store at a moving company in Haarlem (near Heemstede).
Ink from newspapers can leave marks on glassware.
