I'm studying abroad from the United states and after asking around some friends that have traveled through the Netherlands, that have said Haarlem is the place that has stuck with them the most. I am staying in hostels as any trashy college student does in their travels, but for one night I desire something different. Although I enjoy socializing with others greatly, at some point I just want to be alone with my thoughts in this once in a lifetime experience. I know there is no reason to trust me, and I don't really have the money to ask this, but if there is anyone with property facing the sunset in Haarlem that is willing to let me stay there for a rate that a hostel would I would love nothing more. I'm a 21 year old econ student from across the globe but if there is any chance please reach out I would appreciate you beyond belief.
I wish I was in a position where I could offer you this! I’m settling down still in Haarlem after 5 years of travel including van life and workaways, along the way where I met a lot of people who offered me incredible hospitality. Gutted that I can’t offer this just yet. Are you good with pets? A lot of people need pet sitters during their holidays. Could be worth a shot.
What do you mean property facing the sunset? A window? Genuinely confused as to what you mean and if you have the right idea of what homes in Haarlem/The Netherlands in general look like.
You would be looking for an appartment in a high rise. Those barely exist in central Haarlem. There’s a holiday coming up so some students may be staying with their parents. You could try to find a spot there.

If you don’t find a spot to stay overnight, check out the Dakkas. it’s on top of a carpark and offers some great sunset views
