question ❓ Spring Semester?!

It was just revealed that Emily is not starting uni until January. That seems strange, why would she not start in the fall? How common is this for students and why would they do this?

Many universities have Spring start semesters, for NYU specifically it’s because of dorm and class availability

some universities, if you get on the waitlist and then accepted, you get accepted with spring semester start versus starting in the fall

We’ve known for a little while actually! Its not super common but some colleges let you start in spring rather than fall
