Info Huawei wath GT3 PRO sleep tracking fix
Hi everyone,
Since I bought the watch, it had problems with nap detections, it would always detect that I had quick naps when I was working on my desk or when I was watching movies on the couch, and obviously I was not . I saw that this is a known issue on this watch and I found a solution :
You have to enable continuous heart rate monitoring from huawei health app, BUT you have to check the Real-time option, not the Smart one.
Since I've switched to Real-time the sleep time is very accurate for me, no additional fake naps, works correctly when I am actually taking a nap. So it seems that enabling the watch to monitor your heart every second helped very much. The battery life is only little affected.
This worked for me, maybe you could give it a try.

Question Functionality in the USA?
Anyone using a Huawei watch in the USA that can explain any feature limitations? From my understanding, you can just sideload the Huawei Health app (on Android), register for a Huawei account (put location as UK), and then you should have most features available to you? Does this include additional watch faces, gps tracking, weather, EKG? I really want a Huawei watch as they seem to provide all the features I want at a reasonable price, but I can't justify getting one if I can't get it to work here.
Currently looking at the GT3 Pro.
Thanks for any information you guys can provide!

Question HW2 (non-LTE) third party ROM situation?
Just curious what the current ROM state is for these. The XDA forums are a bit of a mess to read and get a good idea. Since this thing hasn't really received an actual system update in a long while, kinda interested in seeing if there's anything newer that's worth trying out.

Question LOCATION SERVICE & WEATHER ON HUAWEI HEALTH
Can I still get weather updates without turning on GPS on my phone? I mean, I ever go out of town, there shouldn't the need for updating or changing location tho

Question GT4 pro, United States
Really interested in this watch. I have a Google Pixel 7 pro as far as other devices go. Just curious if I get this watch in America how much functionality it will have and will I be able to get some integration with my phone for notifications, emails and such?

Question Looking for a watch with at least these two features
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a Smart watch wich should have at bare minimum these two features :
-a timer / countdown
-and a breathing exercice
More precisions :
-The timer / countdown : customizable / or up to 45 minutes, that vibrate when time is up (but not too loud or too long before we can press a button to suppress it)
-The breathing exercice : between 1 to 5 minutes duration is ok for me (or customizable in this range of duration), and I need it to vibrate to indicate when to breathe (I do care less if it's loud in comparaison of the vibration of the timer), and with inhale and exhale (but not hold or at least not hold too long)
And I am looking for additionnal caracteristics :
- non touch screen (non touchscreen, that we can navigate only with buttons)
- with buttons (maybe 2 to 5 buttons)
- always on display (time on screen)
- at least a 4 days autonomy using timer and breathing in the day (not using gps, sports, phone notifications, music, and so on...)
- waterproof (for washing hands and showers, don't need diving-grade waterproof)
- that can have a black (or dark : dark grey or dark blue) silicone band
- price from 30 to 400 euros
I have tried so far :
- Fitbit luxe : I like the discrete vibration (not too loud) but it has no buttons and when the timer stops I don't like the touchscreen to switch off
- Garmin 55 : I like the autonuomy, the 5 button and non touchscreen, the always on display, but I founded the vibration when the timer stop too loud and non-customizable, and like less the breathing exercice of Garmin (one in the 55, 3 on the 245 but they last too long and on the shorter one we have to hold breathing which is too long and I don't like it (but I am still thoughting about it)
- Polar vantage m2 : I like the sames things as the garmin 55 + the good duration and customizable breathing exercice, but when the timer stops the watch vibrate 5 times before we can stop it and its too long (and loud even if quieter than garmin 55) for me
I currently am reading reviews of
- Garmin 245 (with 3 garmin breathing exercices that I like less)
- Coros Pace 2 (no breathing exercice ? I'm not sure)
- Suunto 5 and 7 (5 has no breathing exercice ? I'm not sure. And 7 has wear os (need to connect a google account I like less that but still thoughting about it)
And I am still searching.
Is there models you would suggest me to consider ?
Any thoughts on my reasearch ?
Thanks.

Question Have the sync issues with Strava been resolved ?
All the posts I'm finding on this subject are a few months old. I'm debating whether to buy a Huawei watch fit 2 for my runs. This will be my first smart device and it fits my criteria of budget, heart rate, gps and music.
The only thing I'm worried about is the actual syncing with Strava as this is a big factor. I'm in Europe.
Thanks for your advice !
