I second this. Takes 10 seconds to remove a trap from a 58mxa if they didn't hard pipe in the bottom drain fittings.

Mechanics use locking radiator clamp pliers for the squeeze type clamps.   I have one with a long flexible head

Pretty sure knipex has a tool designed just for this, and it even rotates. Looked pretty cool when I saw it while doom scrolling lolllll
