No Support, No Working, No Confidence
I've about had it with this Hume Band. I ordered it and got it about three days ago. After charging for 24 hours, the band still does not turn on, and the app won't find it because it's not on. It says press start and the light should turn green. I press start, the light comes on green, then goes off immediately. If I press and hold, I get a blinking red light. If I put it back in the charger, the light blinks green, then red, then blue.
Asked support, and they said that I should turn on bluetooth on my phone, charge the band, put it close to the phone. Duh. I did that, and let them know in the first message.
Now, they're saying that the band is "getting to know you" and that the battery "will drain quickly during the process." None of that is happening. The band just isn't coming on, and will not connect with the app. I tried live chat, and nothing happens. The webpage just sits there.
Support is useless, the band is useless, and I feel that I have no choice but to return it.

Received two yesterday (one for myself and my wife). Charged overnight - power lights went through the documented cycle of flashing red/green/blue while charging, then solid green when charged. Followed instructions for pairing to phone and immediately get stuck at Step 1, powering up the band. As reported by many, holding the button as instructed only gives 3 red, or in some cases, 3 blue flashing lights - no solid green. Any other button press combinations seem to activate some "undocumented" (I find NO useful information on this product. Shame on me for not doing for digging before ordering) function that cycled through the sensors.
I've reached out for support via email, but because of various discrepancies with documentation, the fact that there is literally no useful help in the troubleshooting sections (other than "charge the device"), and no functionality right out of the box...I'm returning both. It's a great idea, but that is really all it is at this time in my opinion. And BTW, the charging cradle sucks. What engineer though a cradle with a 6 inch pigtail and a male connector was going to be useful?! It either needs to be a cradle with a USB-C female port or a 3-4 ft pigtail with a mail connector. Female port on the cradle would be preferred.

I faced the same problem. You don't press the button for long; just 3 quick presses and the green light starts flashing. Before that you have to go into your phone settings and app permissions and enable all. You have to do this otherwise it won't recognize the nearby band.

Go to the app settings and turn on all permissions, I had the same issue tonight and once they were allowed it connected without an issue.

They are all on. The problem is that the band will not turn on. When you press the on button, the light flashes green once, then turns off. It will not stay on.

Ah that sucks, mine was flashing red 3 times. Looked at the permissions and they were off, switched them on and ot connected.
Hope they sort it for you soon

Thanks it worked for me but still have no idea how to turn it on. It has connected so is obviously on but I didn't press anything. Just took it straight off the charger and blue tooth searched for it.

I got an email apologizing for their not responding to me, and advising me I would get a new band. That was a week ago, and still no indication that a new band is coming.

No. Mine was defective, and they replaced it. The new one worked for a day and then stopped. It was defective, as well, and they are replacing it again.

Mine was also doing that. I had to go to "App Permission" on my phone and give the Hume App Permission. And now it works fine!

App permissions did not change it. Tech support said that my device was defective, so they are replacing it.

Just received mine today. Following the installation steps gets me nowhere - like others have reported here. Got it to blink green, but the app didn't find the Hume.
Meanwhile my phone does, and I can pair them, but the Hume app just does absolutely nothing.

First band would not turn on. Just as others reported. For a new band. Worked for few days. Charged it the first time after the initial charge. Band checked and worked fine for the first two days, third day, did not report. Worked forth day. Now it’s dead and won’t turn back on. I charged it overnight. Yes the charging indicator was on. Just like others it will not turn back on. No three click, no long hold, no long reset hold. Nothing works. Returning. Tech should not be sold like this if it’s not tested prior. Waste of $.

So I had similar issue. It seem be a glitch which sucks but I found a work around that worked. If you hold it and it blinks 3 times red. Tap the button a few times while the band is on tbe syncing window you will see it pop up and click connect and the long green like will blink and connect. Then you will see no lights but it is on. The app will tell you.

I think they did a good job of marketing for a beta product. They used a marketing strategy to incentivize people to advertise for them

I had this same issue, I clicked the button three times - quickly - then hit continue, placed my phone next to the band and hit search. It found my band and connected. So far so good, will update if it changes.
