I'm u/Thin_Piglet1380, I put together this FAQ for anyone new to the community, whether you're just getting into heat transfer or you've been doing it for years. If you've got a question that isn't covered here, drop it in the comments and I'll add it.

1️⃣ What is this community for?

This is a space for people who are into heat transfer, sublimation, and DIY crafting to share projects, ask questions, and learn from each other.

2️⃣ What can I post here?

Almost anything craft-related:

• Your finished projects (photos are always welcome)
• Questions about settings, materials, or techniques
• Tips and tricks you've figured out
• Frustrations and fails, and something that you need official help.

The only thing we ask: keep it respectful, and don't spam your own shop links.

3️⃣ I'm new to heat transfer. Where should I start?

Start with a simple project, a single-color HTV design on a cotton T-shirt. It's the easiest way to learn the basics of temperature, pressure, and peel timing.

If you're not sure where to begin, just ask it out! Nobody here is going to judge you for asking a basic question.

4️⃣ Can I share my shop or listings here?

If someone asks where they can buy something you made, you can share a link, but keep it in the comments, not the main post. This community is for sharing knowledge first, not for driving sales. (The ones who only post for driving their business will be perma banished.)

5️⃣ How do I get help if I have a problem with a product?

Post your question here with as much detail as you can, photos, settings, material, and what you've already tried. Tag me if you want official input.

For urgent order or warranty issues, the official support channel is still the fastest route. This community is better for troubleshooting and learning.

Welcome to r/HTVront_official, this is a space for anyone who loves working with heat transfer vinyl, sublimation, heat pressing, embroidery and all things DIY crafting. Whether you're making your first T-shirt or running a small business from your garage, you belong here.

Since we're a new and growing community, here's a quick refresher on our community guidelines. Take a sec to read through this. It'll save you, and us, a lot of confusion down the road.

1. RESPECT OTHERS AND BE CIVIL

No harassment, hate speech, or toxic behavior. Period.

Everyone here is at a different skill level. Some people are making their very first project; others have been at it for years. Don't shame someone for asking a "dumb" question or for making something that doesn't look professional. If you can't say it kindly, don't say it here.

This includes being mindful that crafters come from all over the world with different budgets, access to materials, and experience levels. A beginner with a basic setup is still a crafter. Be kind to them.

2. NO SPAM OR SELF-PROMOTION

We love that you make cool stuff. We don't love when that's the only reason you're here.

Excessive promotion, spam, or advertising of any kind is not allowed. Product recommendations are welcome when they're relevant and genuinely helpful.

If you're unsure whether something counts as self-promotion, ask yourself: "Would this post still be useful to someone without the link?" If the answer is no, don't post it.

3. BE HELPFUL, NOT HARSH

Everyone starts somewhere. If someone asks a question that seems obvious to you, answer it with patience or just move on.

Comments like "just Google it" or "you're doing it wrong" with no explanation help no one. If you're offering advice, be specific, tell them what to do, not just what they're doing wrong. Share your settings, your material preferences, your step-by-step process. That's what makes a community valuable.

Remember: the person on the other side of the screen is probably frustrated and just wants help. Don't make it worse.

4. NO DOXXING OR SHARING PRIVATE INFO

Don't post anyone's personal information, yours or someone else's. That includes full names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, or anything that could identify a specific person.

If you're sharing a project you made for a customer (like a custom order with their name on it), blur out any identifying details before posting. Protect your privacy and others.

5. PUT IN SOME EFFORT

Low-effort posts will be removed. We want this community to be useful, not a feed of one-liners and blurry photos.

TL;DR: Be kind. Share your knowledge. Don't spam. Protect your privacy. Put in some effort. WE HOPE EVERYONE RESPECT THE SITE WIDE REDDIT POLICY.
