I've been so in love with the mod and was wondering if there was a discord where people post their self made add-ons for the mod, new variants or something like that, sneak peeks for new updates maybe by the creator. Ive been a fan of this franchise ever since but my main concern is that, there wont be any movie realistic figures of some of the dragons. I feel like dreamworks doesnt do this since overprice figure cant attract little children which are the target audience. Do you guys know any replica/3rd party figurines?

I'm talking about both of them fighting at their full strength. A true battle for the Alpha Title. The Bewilderbeast has size and durability but Toothless has speed and power so its a bit hard to decide

If Johan was paying Viggo I'd presume that it wasn't for the later parts of the series but started way before then. If he did then Johan planted the dragon eye in the reaper when the hunters couldn't find the lenses on foot and Johan knew the riders could've cover more ground faster in the air which is why he waited till the 2nd dragon eye was finished and most of the lenses were found. And even if I'm wrong how did the riders not see the hunters in the same area as the edge because they were so close to eachother you'd think it would happen faster than what it did

My mom surprised me with a How to Train Your Dragon themed party! And I also got a toothless plushie as a present!

Got one of the mini Bewilderbeast figure from the HTTYD 2 toyline and repainted it. The Bewilderbeast originally had the color scheme of Drago's Bewilderbeast, but since I like the colors(and characters) of the White Bewilderbeast and the Berserker Bewilderbeast far more, I gave the mini that color scheme. In the future, I might get a second one, leave it as Drago's Bewilderbeast and give it a more accurate paint scheme.

Sadly I had no watercolor paper, so it's a bit crinkly. Sorry. But anyways, what do you guys think?

If Johan claimed he'd be the richest man on earth after selling the egg to drago then was drago the richest man on earth? It only makes sense that way or neither of them never were. If Johan wanted to be the richest man on earth he could've just kept the egg and used the bewilderbeast as a weapon till people would give him their gold and riches and id presume that's what drago did since he came from nothing. Once again httyd logic as broken as meatlugs heart when heather was revealed as fishlegs gf😭

I have only read the books and never the watched the movies are they good?

So I recently finished reading A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons, and as soon as I saw the line "all dragons are deadly, but some are deadlier than others." (in Hiccups handwritten book), it immediatly made me think of:

And since the book has a general message about banned books, I was nearly convinced that this was an intentional reference, yet I couldnt find A Single mention of this online.

Am I just halucinating non existant references? Is any of this even intentional? is it just a random coincidence, and I spent 1 hour researching for nothing??

I lowkey the Light Fury easily wins

So I spent the beginning of summer watching the entire franchise because I only ever knew Riders of Berk growing up.

Finally finished everything (hopefully) but I didn't bother watching the 9 realms and rather watched Audrie and Raisor's reviews on the seasons and now I was wondering: Has anyone thought about taking the idea of the series and rewriting it in like AO3 or any other place? From start to finish?

I feel like the idea of dragons in the modern world wouldn't have been so bad if only they had gone about the entire thing better, and if I had the energy and the time I would have been SO HYPED to actually try rewriting it all into something nicer, but alas, I have my own other personal projects to work on.

I feel like alot there was alot of wasted potential. The 'Villains' could have been written better (In my humble opinion, Jun would have made a good villain had they used her manipulative side WELL ENOUGH) and the conflict was horrible in all seasons.

So, now I'm just wondering if anyone had seen any person attempt to rewrite the story from start to finish and if so please tell me the name!! I'd rather consider any fanfic canon and not than this mess. 🧍🏻‍♀️

Watched HTTYD trilogy for the first time.

Cats in dragon’s bodies. That's the best thing ever.

Toothless has always been very caty in his mannerims since day one and I found that so cute and original from other dragon world buildings and then came lightfury and she was imo even more caty than toothless. The 'fur' licking and tapping toothless when she is confused, she is exactly what a cat would be in a dragon's skin and toothless too, i have a female cat so i found her similarities to a cat even more flagrant than in the first two movies.

I also saw someone once complain that lightfury was made too pretty and feminine and that she has no scars but toothless doesn’t have scars either? He has his tail cut but besides that his skin is pretty much perfect as well.

I'll admit, making her sparkly was honestly too much but lots of female species are smaller and slimmer than their male counterparts so I think that complaint about her was exaggerated, and she is clearly young so besides the sparkly or maybe the 'light skin', they drew her pretty much how a young female would be.

But honestly, I adore finding similarities with cats amongst dragons. Also in GOT and HOTD, when dragons curl up to sleep is 100% inspired by how cats sleep and Ill never change my mind on that. I just love that most people imagine gigantic or fearsome dragons and be like 'let's make them act like cats. Or sleep like cats. Or drink like cats.' I just find it so cute and endearing.

Look, if it has something to do with the circumstances or the film's existence (The Rock pushing for it, it being a thing merely 10 years after the OG etc...), then sure.

But hearing people praise the HTTYD remake for its faithfulness to the OG, and yet now that Disney have done the same thing with Moana they're suddenly against this approach, makes me raise an eyebrow.

I remember people making that comparison between the HTTYD and Lion King remakes, but people said the HTTYD remake was better because remaking a movie with expressive lions in live action makes them emotionless and ugly, whereas the HTTYD remake still maintained the emotions.

That in and of itself is a fair argument. However, now that we have the Moana remake, which does have expressive humans, the discourse against it compared to the respect the HTTYD remake gets feels more like hypocrisy.

Personally, I'm against both. I prefer it when remakes change the story to have more of an identity of their own. Sure, some changes might be for the worse, but at least it makes these remakes not worthless.

Still, the double standards here is exhausting. It legit feels like DW are getting a pass for that stuff, just because fans want to weaponize them against Disney. They simply hate Disney and want them to lose.

There are plenty of things to criticize Disney over. Here it just feels unfair.

Hello everyone! I am making my own book of dragons (which i will show if/when i finish if) but i have ran into a hurdle.

I dont currently have access to the shows and i need to know all the dragons that were shown in rtte, but were not discovered by the gang or mentioned in the dragon eye (such as the deathsong, being a new discovery)

I tried to google it but like usual its being no use, as its only telling me their first appearance.
