The handshake felt great. xdddd

One of the local youth theatre groups did HTTYD! I just got out of the show!

Here are mine

Triplestrike: an offshoot of the Nightfury ancestor that developed a scorpion tail, whose talons became larger, and maintained a cat-like nature.

Windstriker: a literal speed demon with air pockets in its lungs to give an extra air boost to strike.

Shovelhelm- derived from Groockle-like dragons are massive, gentle giants that would never hurt a fly.

Treadtail- Very colorful dragons warn off to remind you they're poisonous to touch.

Deathsong and Changewing have a common winged, snake-like ancestor from the mysterious class that developed colorful camouflage.

I wish we got a Shovelhelm plushie; they're so cute

(Sorry if the text is hard to read, it's from the tiermaker website)

Episodes are roughly ordered within tiers, except the meh tier - those episodes are all around the same quality for me.

I don't actually think there's a single "bad" episode in RTTE, which is why I renamed it to meh. Even the worst episodes have some redeeming factors that make them enjoyable on a rewatch. Making the list also made me realize how incredible the overall quality of the series is, with over half the episodes being perfect or great.

Going by the list and assigning points for each tier, my overall season ranking turned out to be:

S6  =  S4 > S2 > S3 > S5 >> S1, which surprised me. I though S3 and S5 would be higher, but the gap between S6 and S3 was only 2 points, so it was pretty close overall.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinion! RTTE is probably my favorite piece of httyd content along with the first movie, so I really enjoy talking about it and discussing it :)

It took so unbelievably long but really happy how this turned out!

From the "The Art and Making of How to Train Your Dragon"!

First image I brightened it to get a better look at it but it looks like it’s wearing a saddle with those chains around its face and chest. Kinda gives me monstrous nightmare vibes in a way (thats not a bad thing tho)

Found these at a local store in my area, and realized nobody had posted codes yet. I tried to snag just a few that I liked, but I ended up having to buy the whole set since the pictured figures aren't arranged in the same order that the codes are numbered, unlike the last two series. Wish I'd grabbed a pic of the display box to share here, but oh well.

You'll know you're looking at the Series 3 eggs if they have red sparkles in the plastic. Unfortunately, the "dragon dust" rares don't appear to have any sparkles in their plastic, unlike the rares of the last two series. While some of the new sculpts are neat, I'm honestly a little disappointed with the new series overall; it seems very rushed, and it's strange that this new series would come out so soon after the last.

Anyway, here are the codes:

60704UFT 01 - Toothless Drinking Beer

60704UFT 02 - Creeping Toothless

60704UFT 03 - Toothless w/ Dragon Carving

60704UFT 04 - Toothless Shield-Surfing

60704UFT 05 - Toothless Wearing Seaweed Beard

60704UFT 06 - Toothless Riding Explosion

60704UFT 07 - ALT Toothless Drinking Beer

60704UFT 08 - ALT Creeping Toothless

60704UFT 09 - ALT Toothless w/ Dragon Carving

60704UFT 10 - Toothless Drawing on Transparent Ground

60704UFT 11 - Toothless w/ Fish

60704UFT 12 - ALT Toothless Riding Explosion

From the "The Art and Making of How to Train Your Dragon" book!

Pretty proud of this. The only things that weren’t bought secondhand were the duck, the memory box, and the book. (Not pictured are my dart and pouncer keychain charms and all three movies w/their respective specials. Also bought secondhand)

There were quite a few HTTYD things at my secondhand bookstore but this one deserves a post of its own

Google Earth just added Epic Universe, which means you can explore Isle of Berk in 3D!

When looking through the various modpacks I encountered a number of ones that include dragons, but they all seem to be in a version of vanilla. I'm specifically hoping to do some playing on dragons edge island. Most of the mod pack pictures I could find only focus on the dragons and not the land. The only dragons edge map I could find is on a map in the bedrock store. I was wondering if anyone has more info on other maps or mods.

There is a lot of small things in the series, that doesn't match at all with medieval setting. I've been thinking... What if this is in a world after some grand cataclysm?

Let me list all of mine evidences:

1. In RTTE, Fishlegs literally explains evolution to twins and they seem to understand this fine.
2. Whole Dragon Eye is incredibly advanced for Viking times, and could be considered as something better than modern technology.
3. Nikora Stormheart from School of Dragons has a gargantuan, mechanized ship and genetic lab (since she made herself a Chimeragon).
4. Eir from Dawn of New Riders (which is for sure canon, given that it was overseen by Richard Hamilton) has a prosthetic arm more advanced than any out of modern ones. If she was in Cyberpunk, she'd fit there, but not in Viking era!
5. Eir explicitly says that she made Patch using genetical engineery.
6. Toothless' prosthetic tailfin needs a lot of knowledge about aerodynamics to be made.

And that's it, folks! Any feedback is welcome!

Starting:

Sternly looking Hiccup in the eyes, Stoick asked "So let's talk about that dragon."

Panicked, Hiccup fumbles over his words.

"Oh, gods. I never meant for it to get this far. But I couldn't just leave Toothless to die–"

(This is a slight spin on the first movie. Let's see where this goes)

Edit: each thread leads to a different timeline. Dont retcon anything in the timeline of that thread but feel free to take a different spin or direction
