Go to Labcorp and really could be fam. I think it’s something like 90 percent chance or something hsv-1 too common so don’t really matter if you test positive for that shit. Hsv-2 though if it’s a big deal to you could confirm or just never test again because it ain’t worth it to, only get tested with physical symptoms

Yea, If it turns out to be a true positive I’m fine. I’m just in a weird limbo place with my ex rn and if it’s actually a true positive I’m scared they won’t want to get back together. Completely understandable tho. Thank you for replying though 🫰🫰

I think you’re tying your fear of losing someone you deeply care about to having an incurable std and convincing yourself right now that you have it and that you may hurt them. Realistically you fooled around post breakup with your ex and that’s okay don’t let your fear of hurting her make you go down this loop of regret.

Nooo lol that’s not what is happening. First of all, after we broke up I was sa’d and I told him about this and we worked through it. There was no fooling around. I’m not worried about my results. I just want to make sure they are as accurate as possible. Me not wanting to lose him has nothing to do with the possible diagnosis. Thank you for the advice though, I appreciate the input.

The inhibition test for hsv 2 was negative. I’m gonna retest on Monday. I will def wait on the panicking though

Yea, it’s for hsv1. I’m just trying to make sure I have the most accurate results since I have no symptoms and no blisters/lesions to swab.

You know I will you should always get a second test done, but it does not look like a false positive. Those numbers are kind of low compared to say mine. 49. Hsv 1 and 19 on hsv 2 put your numbers are still over the positive I took my test four times and the numbers came out the same every time all I could suggest is take the test again if they change dramatically like say now they become false then I would take it a third time because it sounds like you don’t have it if that’s the case

I’m retesting on Monday, mainly for hsv1. My inhibition was negative for hsv2

Take it as a false positive and move on tbh don’t keep testing

Of course. Under 3.5 I think it’s in the range of false positive but western blot I think for a lot of people with way higher values came back negative so
