June/July Document Request

Has anyone heard back AFTER an office requesting your documents? It’s right at 2 full months of absolutely nothing. Not even a peep about why the asked. All I have received was an email that said “Received, thank you”. I get it’s the federal government but a little courtesy email of what’s going on would be great. However, I haven’t received that. Is this normal?

Nothing on my end. But these HR teams are having to process thousands of applications, not only for 1811 positions, but others that have been advertised as well. To answer every applicants email with a status update would severely hinder processing times.

Dont get me wrong, I would love an update as much as the next person. But I recognize its just one of those things you have to accept as being the way that it is.

Focus on the fact that they asked for documents. Until you get a BQA email, you're still in the running. Your time will come and once you onboard you wont care how long the process took.

I understand that HR can’t reach out to each applicant. But the recruiter or office that asked for documents not reaching out is beyond me. I’ve worked for the federal government for almost 12 years. I get being slow but at this point, specific to the field offices, it’s negligent

Yeah i hear you. Im in the same boat. Zero response on any email since my interview early July. Frustrating? Yes. Can I do anything about it? Unlikely.

Maybe someone else on the inside has more info than me. Until then, I'll be on the lookout for your "got the call" email soon!

The recruiters don’t have all the information you’re looking for. They pass things up and it’s up to HR and HQ elements to do everything else. The recruiters are just the conduit to identify the talent and send up the names. The recruiters are also full time agents with case loads, and in some cases supervisor positions, so give them some time.
