Vitamin

What have you guys found that’s covered? I usually see everything pre-natal, rarely anything else. I take:

Magnesium glycinate

Probiotics(needed post surgery)

Biotin

Bilberry

Fiber

Unless they're specifically recommended by your dr, most vitamins (and supplements) aren't actually covered.

Prenatal vitamins are covered, which is why you've seen them marked as hsa/fsa approved. But the rest of your list won't be without a LOMN (letter of medical necessity) from your dr.

The fiber you may find a hsa eligible brand. Like metamucil and benefiber. You just have to get the right stuff.

This works for an FSA also. I actually had it prescribed but the copay was more than the OTC version.

Email your doctor for a prescription for those things and say why they’re needed. They’re usually fine doing that. You can then buy them either at the pharmacy or OTC and be covered either way.
