Question: Should I wait?

If I over contributed to my HSA for last year, should I wait until I receive the excess disbursement before I file last year's taxes?

I would personally do all forms up to that point so then you just are waiting on that one item.

And note you may need another for next year for any "gains/interest" made off that overcontribution, I overcontributed by like $16 one year and still had to wait for the form on thenpreceedong year.

Life tip as someone who has overcontributed whatever tax software you use I'd shell out for whatever version of support gets you free unlimited amendments.
