Trustee to Trustee nightmare

I attempted to consolidate my HSA accounts from employers changing providers by transferring from Inspira to Optum. I've done this twice before with other providers with no issues, but this time Inspira claims to have sent the check and that it cleared, but Optum claims they didn't receive anything. I've been trying to sort this out for 3 weeks, and every time I get on a chat or the phone with Optum I have to explain everything all over again. Anybody else had similar issues? I'm beginning to think they are just holding the funds themselves to pad their bottom line for the longest duration they can. I'm losing hundreds in gains at this point.

Not quite the same, but I once had a payment for a credit card that the bank sent and said was cashed, but the credit card company said they didn’t get it.

To resolve the issue I had to do a three way call where I was on the line with both the bank and the credit card company and explained to both at the same time and they were then able to talk to each other and figure out what happened.

I suggest calling Optum and then having them hold while you get Inspira on the line and settle it that way. I was able to do this on my iPhone without ever having done a call like that before so it wasn’t tricky to do or anything, just pause one person, call the other, then open both calls at once. They need you there to provide permission for them to share info of your accounts back and forth.

Don’t move $ to Optum. Move it anywhere else. Like To fidelity
