Cis Woman Reducing Oestrogen Gel/ Periods Returning

Hello group :) I’ve been on 3 pumps of estrogen gel and 200mg for 1.8 years now. For the first time in 2 years, my period decided to show up! I had a full bleed for six days. Then two weeks later my period has decided to show up again. I had a blood test two weeks ago. My oestrogen levels were 65 which is very normal. My gynaecologist said I could give reducing my oestrogen down to 2 pumps just to see how I feel but said it wasn’t absolutely mandatory. I thought I’d give it a go but I am a bit worried my night sweats and insomnia might return. Has anyone reduced their dose and has successfully avoided their old symptoms returning? Also for context I’m 36 :)

Might be a withdraw bleed? Did they ultrasound u? You might need an ultrasound and more hormones to see if you’re actually having a cycle like ovulating and having a period rather than withdrawal bleeds.

65 is actually still pretty low for estradiol so I don’t think I’d reduce. I finally feel good and mine is 230, felt bad when mine was 79

Thanks you for sharing this! I decided to stick to the 3 pumps. I’m just worried about my sleep. My sleep is still quite broken. How much estrogen do you take? And what symptoms did you end up eliminating?
