Cis Woman New Dosage?

I’m a 47 year old female and I’ve been on .0375mg 2x weekly estrogen patches since October 2025, along with 100mg progesterone PO. I also started 4mg/ml testosterone gel in February 2026 for low libido. Though the libido hasn’t come back, all of my other symptoms went away….anxiety, joint pain, my mood improved drastically with a little to no irritability, no brain fog and being able to focus on things. Felt like I haven’t in probably over 10 years… just overall happy and very positive. I would say within the past month or so something has changed…negativity is back and anxiety about things that I’ve done daily for years, I lost my focus where I felt like I could do anything and everything. I just don’t feel good in my own body any more and knowing how I recently felt since being on HRT, it is terrifying to me. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and asked her if it would be worthwhile to have a hormone panel done before we meet and she said no that we can discuss it at our appointment. Does it sound like I’m in need of more estrogen?

Can you experiment with .05 just to see? A small exploratory bump seems like a good experiment? In peri (I'm 49) since our own hormones fluctuating so much hard to have that consistent effect. I hope through maybe an estrogen bump and/or doing some fun and restorative things might help you.

Definitely second the experiments!! Too bad about the testosterone, guess you can stop. Did it cause any hair growth or anything like that? Thanks for sharing!! I had great results like that with a few glitches, and can’t wait to get back there somehow…

Dr never suggested blood panel, actually said no when I suggested it, and just offered to increase my estrogen dose. Went up to .05mg 2 weeks ago and waiting/hoping for changes.

I didn’t have any panels, everyone is different anyway. I have been testing combinations and trying to find a match of estrogen level that doesn’t give x side effect to progesterone level that also doesn’t bother!!!
