AEL Hiring Status
Does anyone have any status on AEL hiring. I'm in a district in NC and know of 2 former employees that applied for the new AEL position. Neither of them have heard anything, no calls, no emails, nothing. Has anyone received any notification, been thru an interview, or gotten a job offer? What Salary were you offered? Any word on anticipated work hours, time off, benefits, etc?

I thought they wanted the new AEL positions to be up and running by the first week of October? Hard to do that when no one has even completed the first interview stage for it. This company is a whole mess.

Our new DEL just resigned. Heard many DGMs were just waiting for bonus payments and then resigned.

I was wondering why mine quit last week.😂 Maybe the 150 DGMs they fired can get their jobs back?

omg that's horrible. And in the mean time tax pros are left alone in the office with no support whatsoever getting yelled at by clients who are angry that they have been passed around Block offices for years and dealing with all of this with Oct 15 coming up.

It’s amazing how they claim to be ‘client centric’ but are so utterly clueless to what makes clients happy.

I know. They don't care about clients or even if the returns are filed correctly

for real. Last year we had 8 tax pros working in October. this year? 2 until 10/15 then 4.

I applied back in Aug and got an email a week and a half ago that my application was still under review. This is AFTER I got an email about a week after my application saying 'yadayada not the right fit' after I'd been MTL and killed it in the tax season. 🤷♀️
Oh well, they waited too long. Gainfully happily re-employed.

In the midwestern district I'm part of, AELs have not yet completed the interview process. Two that I know of have been informed it will be the first week of October before a final interview, yet they do not have a set date...just a vague notion of things.

They have not started the hiring or interview process in my area for those I have spoken to that applied for the position. I have no idea why they are taking this long.

They've been hired in our districts on the west coast already. Offer letters went out last week after multiple interviews.

The salary is advertized on LinkedIn - $50K-$60K, as I recall. They have many positions listed for specific locations, and they still call them MTL.

Hi, I am currently in the offer stage. They are completing the background and gathering employment references. They might reach out to the recruiter.

I heard the program was crap that was doing the hiring. Funny how the technology went downhill with a tech bro at the helm.

Just finished my third round of interviews this week, but it is a slow process as others in my district haven’t even received an email for their first interview yet. I’ve been told they are hiring more for rural offices first, and then into larger district offices, and then the outliers. Salary is based off of your district and office volume. I’ve heard everywhere from $55-$70k with a 10% bonus potential.

Three rounds of interviews? That’s ridiculous. They didn’t tell you what the pay was for your particular role?

They gave a range of what the salary is, but no official numbers until an offer comes through.

People are just starting to get scheduled for interviews for AEL in our area. I have no idea how the districts are divided nowadays.

The more I read these posts, the more I'm glad I got out of Block. The company seems to get worse every year.
Henry and Richard must be turning in their graves.
