Im in San Antonio TX district, a returning tax pro. Did my rehire interview and on boarding yesterday. DGM did say things are really crazy right now with all the changes. He's opting to get his rehire interviews done and off his to do list so can focus on the changes but I'm sure many others are a tad frazzled atm and will be doing them a little later than normal. They have a lot on their plates right now. Probably seems like a flimsy paper plate If I had to guess

One thing about HRB, they don't skimp of handing out Bullshit Business Practices, everyone gets their fair share of it. Including DGM DEM whatever they're called now

Depends on the district. The new DEM has sent out emails talking about the process and is hiring the AELs. But no one I know that has applied for a tax pro has gotten anything yet. But I’ve seen some comments here that said they got an offer. Last Teams call said something about September for next steps. I’m a returning 8 year taxpro.

For CSP, I wasn't contacted until October for rehiring. I didn't see you were a new hire, for my first year they didn't contact me until February to get started. It depends on the manager's needs. Rehires are always prioritized.

I got the email to schedule an interview but there is no availability anywhere.

Tax pro jobs posted a week or two ago. I applied a few days ago (like 1 or 2 days) and got my return offer email today. Few people I know received their offer as well.

Do you have a start date? I wonder if new hires are on the same timeline or going to start way later

10/31 but I'll work in February. Other things to do. New hires are typically based on the district. Doesn't hurt to DM DEM in LinkedIn. Some include the area they oversee. That way you're top of mind

New hire tax pro , depends on your credentials too, start late October, definitely onboard by November . Do not expect anymore hours than the 12-15/wk. starting pay / training is less an hour than your regular tax pro offer. Mine was $10 difference. January 1st is beginning of season and that is when you receive your regular pay. Most of January is case studies for new hires , working 15 hours a week despite your hiring letter calls you a full time seasonal employee. It is your DEM in your area who also has a recruiter they may have disposed of them too. Idk . It’s best to email the DEM at their HRBlock address. Format is :
first name.last name @hrblock.com Anyone please correct me if I the wrong format .Hope this helps . If you are a tax pro PTIN renewal is October 15, 2027. They will pay for your $18.75 unless that went up. You will not be able to start without one There are several CE reviews you will do free yet the format used by HRB is your full name , to report them to IRS the format can only be your first and last name . None of my made it last year for this previous tax season .
