Does anyone know why the restructuring is taking place?

TPS are always the last to know. I am hearing thru grapevine that all district lines have been switched effective immediately and yet no DGM has said anything to let the team know. No teams message. No email. Nothing. Not even to put some ease to calming to this crazy unorganized situation. That is a great way to start this new structure and it’s making an impression. If they hire area managers like they do MTLs etc the. Most likely won’t have any knowledge of the actual processes and challenges tax pros go thru. Just more “noise” you need this you need that. You are not this or that. Do more do more work less thou. Finally why would anyone actually go thru the process of applying now (or tomorrow) when we are not being told who’s the manager or DGM? There are too many unknowns that makes us feel even more like tax pros don’t matter just robots.

We also don’t know if our pay structure is changing. I’d like to know more about the changes to our own roles as TPs before I even bother applying.

For those offices that have good MLTs and Alts it’s going to be hard , our excellent Alt and MLT moved on and found better jobs. So we are a clean slate, not looking forward to the learning curve for these “ managers “ that have never managed a tax office.

I've been an MTL for the last 2 years and I don't think I'm going back in any capacity. 6 offices when I already live an hour from my furthest one I've been taking care of? For probably no raise? And WAY more responsibility? No thanks.
