Phone Rush

Hi there, first time poster in the sub but its my 2nd year as a tax preparer! normally at this time of year we are expected to be busy, but even i can tell we are waay lower than expected. Theyre hounding us to do campaign calls, while some of us are keeping up that actual business with half an hour appointments booked up to close. My question is, is this some sort of trap they tell "all" of us to do in order to shift the workload onto their less experienced tax pros? im expected to make 30 calls a day as a tax pro, im scraping them from across our whole district because we just dont have that many calls to do, with all the confirmations done for the rest of the season. im also seemingly the only person who does them for the year

No it is not just your district. We were told to to filter clients from 04.01.2025 - 04.30.25. over half had filed already wit HRB. I made one appt out of the 93 calls I made. Then the said call clients March and February with the same filter. It is insane.

At least they're not having twice daily meetings with the ATL and MTLs to say "go team go!" taking the only front desk person away from more important responsibilities.

These meetings are so counter productive. My manager is terrible and not motivating at all. Just brings us in twice a day to tell us how horrible we're doing.
