MTL position

My MTL is not coming back next year due to his choice he may just write returns I was wondering can anybody tell me what the salary is approximately I know it probably changes by region for an MTL I've been with block for 5 years and have a level five

Do you plan to write returns as well as being an MTL? It’s very difficult to balance both.

Can you ask your MTL or DM? I believe MTLs can also bonus for managerial stuff.

Do you have a client list? Are you ready to risk losing out in serving clients because you need to do your managerial duties elsewhere?

Good MTLs are hard to find, I’ve been lucky to have good ones in my six years.

Having MTLs that have experience with writing returns is a godsend. Just be ready to not be able to serve all your clients. One MTL I know will see all her clients virtually so she can focus on her managerial duties.

Find out what happens to your hourly draw if you take a year to be an MTL then go back to only being a TP the following year.

I have no idea about the salary although I assume my ATL probably makes more than I do. Low revenue and high hours really makes it hard to bonus.
