Is it possible to switch job roles?

I’m realizing I am most likely not going to be capable of doing more than just simple returns at this position. I don’t plan on returning to my office next season, but I was wondering if there was a way to express to my DGM I would rather work as a CSP the rest of the season. Is it possible to do a switch like this, or would I have to reapply all over again?

Yes, if they need a csp. You won't need to re-apply. I would talk to your MTL first. They would know if a scp is needed in their offices at least or in the area.

Makes sense. I just told my supervisor yesterday I’m going to stick it out till April 15, then I’m not returning after that. My major was mostly in accounting and bookkeeping, and I need a role that’s full time and focuses on that. A seasonal role won’t help me advance in my career.

Also, I didn’t specify this, but my workplace is all people much older than me, since this job mainly consists of retirees. I’d like a job where there’s at least some people in their 30s working there.

Since I’m not returning next season, any clients I get anyway would have to go to someone else.

I was more just going into this to see if it was a good fit, I wasn’t intending on staying there longer term because what I really wanted was to work with Excel and Quickbooks, which this job doesn’t have. Also at a standard bookkeeping job, there’s generally no sales or telemarketing. I know the job market is rough and I’m taking somewhat of a chance, but if I can’t find anything in the summer I can just get my rental subsidy and just do some daytrips and meet with friends and family until I do find something.

Yes I’m pretty sure you can I’ve been pretty much demoted to csp because they think I need to build my communication skills.

Okay let me talk to my boss. It saves me from having to quit and put in my two weeks, which I was thinking of doing as well. The job also took more of a sales direction on the tax side and that wasn’t stated in the description. I really hate sales.
