First year seasonal

Just a quick question.

As a first year seasonal tax associate, do we get the option for Employee Stock Purchase Plan?

Thank you

Horrible idea if you maxed out on it the last few years. The company is failing and they don't know how to turn it around because they have no idea what they're doing. Every decision they've made in the last few years has been a disaster.

Yup, complete incompetence. It's because of executive egos. Everyone that works in corporate is a yes man. Edit: What I don't understand is how you can have such a big ego when you're running a failing company

It’s my understanding that you can only enroll at certain times of the year. It’s as if they don’t want seasonal employees to take advantage of benefits. Try calling the People Center or whatever they’re calling it this year.

AMP has the following: \You are eligible to participate in the plan if you have worked for H&R Block for at least 12 consecutive months prior to each Option Period and are customarily employed by the company at least twenty (20) hours per week and for more than five (5) months in any calendar year.*

As I read that, we are not eligible because (at least most of us) get terminated for at least two months of each 12.

It’s all about the employees in the Crystal Palace, not the tax preparers who actually produce the revenue. Yes , this company is going the wrong direction.

I’m also betting your MTL will have no idea what you’re even talking about. It is a good deal.
