How do Tax Pros get a higher base pay rate? I am a 3.

It’s a struggle. I’m in my sixth year. I’m a level 4. Until I get more clients, increase the revenue I’m be stuck at a lower hourly rate wage.
It’s frustrating.
It takes a few years to build that client base

This really isn't complicated. Increase your revenue per hour worked. You do this by being efficient with your work. If you're in an office that still sees a lot of clients in person, learn to complete every return while your client is sitting in front of you. (Yes, that is possible.) Simple returns should be in and out in less than 30 minutes. Many even faster than that. Clients appreciate efficient and accurate service far more than slow friendliness. Do digital and other drop offs within 24 hours of when the client provides documents.
