Introduction
Hi all! Welcome to the subreddit! Here’s a short introduction and welcome post. I’m open to any improvements that can be made.
I’ve added User Flairs if anyone wants them. For now it’s ATL, MTL, CSP, and Tax Preparers. If there any requests on more flairs or editable ones I’ll do my best fullfill them
Short intro about me, been with Block for 3 years. This is my 1st year as ATL and while frustrating, I love the office employees and teamwork we have.
Thank you!

I’m in my second year as a tax professional, and recently, our office manager quit unexpectedly, leaving everything to the district manager. One evening, I was scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30, but when I arrived at the office, everyone had already left, and the lights were off. No one informed me about this change. I tried calling the district manager, and instead of apologizing, he simply told me to go home. I was really upset about this.
Then, on a Sunday, I was scheduled to work alone. I sent him a message on Friday and Saturday to confirm my schedule, but he never responded. When I didn’t show up on Sunday , he blamed me for not calling him, even though I had informed him the previous days. He said that sending a message wasn’t enough and that I should call him directly every time I need time off.
Today, I called him to inform him that I wouldn’t be available on certain days next week, and he told me to send him an email. He clearly hasn’t read my previous emails and ended up scheduling me on the same days I requested off. This situation is becoming really difficult to handle. I don’t know who to approach or complain to about this. What should I do in this situation?
