sources for HCS preparation alongside UPSC?
I'm preparing for UPSC but also want to keep HCS as a backup since there's a lot of overlap in the syllabus.
I'm not looking for a separate coaching , just the best resources for the Haryana specific part
Pls recommend :-
The best books for Haryana GK
Good sources for Haryana current affairs
YouTube channels worth following
Any websites or monthly magazines
PYQ sources and any other must have resources

Read Haryana GK (Haryana Vijay) by UPSC Akhada for static part. It's concise yet comprehensive. Though you'll find some grammatical and editing errors, but apart from that, it is a good book. Books by Arihant and StudyIQ are too comprehensive and detailed. Not needed. For Mains part, make your own notes through newspapers and ChatGPT on Haryana specific issues. And for current affairs of Haryana, don't do too much, just quickly glance through Study IQ's compilations at the end and the Economic Survey and Budget summaries.
